Wow, Am I Slacking? Or just lacking opinion of anything right now?
I just noticed that it has been 5 days since I have written anything on here. While this past weekend we did have guests over and one stay with us, there was so much to blog about! The fantastic dinner we had, the Oscars, the fact that Hugh Jackman is just still so hot! And now, here I am trying to get something on the page and realizing I am too late. It is time to pack up and go home! So, maybe later tonight, maybe tomorrow, and maybe later this week. I swear I have an opinion! I SWEAR!

A day at work...hummmm
On my way to work this morning, right next to my garage entrance, this is what I saw.

Nothing like seeing an SUV in the middle of the sandwich shop!
What a way to start the day. Then, my ass decided to be "healthy" at lunch and, since I forgot my fork and magazine at my desk (2 floors above the lunch room) I thought I would take the stairs to my office to get it. Once I hiked the 2 floors, the door was locked. I then found out that all the doors are locked in the stairwell and that I needed to go to the ground floor to get out. Once I got there, I could not find a door. I then had to go to the basement floor, down a long hall (which at the end of was a door with a sensor and a security camera above it so someone had a nice laugh) and finally out the door. It did exit onto the side of the building where the accident was earlier that day. Needless to say, the damage was to one window and a booth. Fun day!
Tonight, Moulin Rouge Sing A Long! Can't wait!

End of a New Work Week
Well, as dull and often boring as it was, it is the end of my first week back working. It actually has been nice not being at home all the time and admittedly, the fact the money would be going into the bank, is not too bad either.
I am working for the Texas Medical Association in their Marketing and Advertising Department for their monthly publication. It has been interesting and I think that once they get everything figured out (people left and changed positions, so everything is a bit new to everyone) there will be some fun times ahead. I do like those I work with there and everyone else I see is generally very nice. If it turns into something perminant, great! But, the life of a temp is that you learn enough to do your job for the time and unfortunately move on. But there are those chances when the gods are in your favor and you find a great perminant spot at the place you are temping at.
This week was nice, but I do need to get on a more regular activity schedule. Maybe meeting Walter after work at the lake for a walk before we go home and have dinner would be nice. Anyhow, life as a temp.....hummmm Well, better to be bored and get paid for it than to be bored at home and broke! They do swear that things will pick up. I sure hope so!

The End of Laziness
Well, as some of you know, I have finally gotten work. It is temp work, but money coming in all the same. Also, it could turn into a full time job, you never know. Well, I think that took me out of my doldrums and I have felt very productive this weekend.
Yesterday we woke up late (after staying out late) and putzed around most of the early afternoon. We then turned our attention to our office and the closet there. It was slammed together and packed up quickly and never really had a chance to put thing away or unpack things properly. We dug in and found that we really have more room in the closet and some things that have been missing were found. It was nice! It also allowed us to put things away and redistribute things in the office to make it look better and be more functional. It must have been that that kick started my ass to work on my art website (something that has needed an update for a long time and also a slight redesign too). So, this morning I woke up early (after a horrible night sleep. Mental note, do not gorge on sushi rolls and asian buffet only hours before going to bed) and found my Dreamweaver program and got it loaded back on my computer. I then had to remember how to ftp the files to my computer from my website and remember how to get the whole thing started so I could do the fixes that were so needed. Good thing I am clever at time and can often remember things with a little proding to the brain. I got it working, uploaded, downloaded and everything else you could do with it. And here it is!...new and improved with even a price list so I can start maybe making an income off my art and now I can feel more comfortable about making new pieces to sell. Go see it! www.sjgphotography.com Oh, and feel free to buy! or send to potential buyers!

Trashy Guilty Pleasure
Ok, so I found a guilty pleasure that is so funny and just kills me. It is a TV show on CMT (yes, CMT, and I founding while flipping stations one night and it sounded funny so I recorded it) called Mobile Home Disaster. It is a riot. It is like a white trash version of Extreme Home Makeover. The stories are about as touching, but the home renevations are just so funny. Walter and I have totally enjoyed watching it not to mention the hot guys that work on the show. Check it out.
